After
an intensive One day competition held at PC Peshawar on October 21, 2017,
the two Teams of Institute of Business Studies & Leadership (IBL), Abdul
Wali Khan University, named WAKA” and “Skill Skoll” have successfully emerged
among Top 25 competing teams out of the 55 teams of KP region in “Build a
Business Model Workshop”. The “WAKA” is
comprised of Naabeel Ahmad, Arsalan Khan, Sunder, Hadia Dost (BBA) and Arsalan
(MBA 3.5). The worth proud achievement
was the initial selection for “Build a Business Model Workshop” that was
the selection of “start up Idea” out of 1800 applicants around Pakistan. The IBL team “WAKA” was prepared by Mr. Shah
Hussain Awan (Coordinator BIC) and Ms. Anum Gullaly of IBL. The teams were
guided and mentored / facilitated by Dr. Qadar Baloch (Director
IBL), Dr. Syed Mohsin Ali Shah (Coordinator IBL), Dr Fahd Sultan (Deputy
Director BIC) and Dr. Mohammad Jehangir.
Keeping
in view the potential of young students and encouraging environment at AWKUM,
the Business Incubation Center in collaboration with IBL AWKUM and Office of
Research Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) has organized various
activities such as seminars, workshops, trainings, competitions (indoor &
outdoor) for engaging and educating students in setting up their future
venture. Dr Qadar Baloch, Director IBL, with the kind approval and guidance of
Vice Chancellor, Dr. Khurshid Khan, is planning / executing numerous
entrepreneurial activities to sharpen the IBL’s student’s talent and skills.
And in near future the IBL, in collaboration with its Business Incubation
Centre, has planned a mega event i.e. “IBL Future Invent” comprising series of
entrepreneurial activities to be held in the month of November-December 2017.
The Mega event would take place at IBL building, Garden Campus AWKUM and
expecting many teams representing higher education institution across Pakistan.
