one day workshop on "Turnitin Software and HEC Plagiarism Policy"




The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) organized a one day workshop on "Turnitin Software and HEC Plagiarism Policy" on October 26, 2017 in the Library Hall Garden Campus. Focal persons (Nominated) from various departments participated in the workshop. The Deputy Director QEC AWKUM welcomed and briefed the participants regarding objectives of the workshop. Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Khan (Chairperson, Department of Statistics) and Dr. Izaz Ur Rehman (Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science) delivered a detailed and comprehensive presentation on HEC Plagiarism Policy at institution level. 

Addressing at the concluding ceremony, Prof. Dr. Qadar Baloch Director IBL and Dean of Faculty of Business & Economics, who also chaired the session gave a comprehensive address about the HEC Plagiarism Policy. He advised focal persons to start uploading student assignments to Turnitin for plagiarism check.  He stated that "QEC is responsible for promoting public confidence that the quality and standards of the award of degrees are enhanced and safeguarded". At the end, certificates were distributed among participants.
