Overseas PhD Scholar of AWKUM, Amir Khesro, Successfully Defended His PhD Thesis

Overseas PhD Scholar of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Amir Khesro, successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "Lead-free Ceramics for High Temperature Actuator Applications" at Department of Material Science and Engineering, University of Sheffield, UK, which is ranked amongst top 100 universities in the world. He worked in one of the leading research groups in electroceramics, Functional Materials and Devices under the supervision of Prof. Ian M Reaney and Professor Derek C Sinclair. His examiners were Professor Andrew J Bell (University of Leeds, UK) and  Dr. Julain Dean (University of Sheffield, UK).

Amir Khesro was awarded a scholarship from AWKUM under faculty development programme in October 2012.
