Dr. Javed Iqbal earned a competitive National Research Programme for Universities (NRPU) award for the year 2016-2017
Dr. Javed Iqbal has been awarded the National
Research Programme for Universities (NRPU) award for the year 2016-2017 from
the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The award was distributed by the worthy
Governor in the presence of all the vice chancellors, HEC chairman and many
others in the ceremony held at Governor House on Saturday March 25, 2017.

It notified for the information of all those students of
Master, MPhil, MS, LLM, MBA and PhD programmes who belongs to FATA,
Baluchistan, Gilgit Baltistan, Chitral, Malakand, Dir and less developed areas

a research grant of over 3 million (PKR) by Higher Education Commission of
Pakistan under National Research Grant for Universities Program (NRPU). The
title of project is “Metabolic Engineering of Rhodococcus Opacus for the
production of Fatty Alcohols and Free FattyAacids: A Potential Source of
Sustainable Production of Chemicals and Biofuels”
