Dr.
Zia Ur Rahman, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology is awarded with
a research grant of over 3 million (PKR) by Higher Education Commission of
Pakistan under National Research Grant for Universities Program (NRPU). The
title of project is “Metabolic Engineering of Rhodococcus Opacus for the
production of Fatty Alcohols and Free FattyAacids: A Potential Source of
Sustainable Production of Chemicals and Biofuels”
