Department of Geology Organized One Day Seminar on "Earth-Science - Opportunities for Geo-scientists"

Department of Geology, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan organized one day seminar on 6th of April, 2017 on the topic "Earth-Science - Opportunities for Geo-scientists". The Guest Speaker of the Seminar was Mr. Abdullah Saeed, Assistant Director at Geological Survey of Pakistan (GSP), Head Office Quetta.                         

The speaker delivered a comprehensive talk on Introduction to Earth-Science, Methods in Earth-Science for Natural Resources Exploration and Career Opportunities for Geo-scientists especially in Pakistan. Subsequently the first talk was followed by a presentation given by Mr. Muhammad Yaseen, Lecturer at Department of Geology, AWKUM on "Establishment of new chapter of International Association of promoting Geo-ethics (IAPG) and general introduction to Prospect Generation (PG).

The participants took great interest in the seminar and raised thoughts provoking questions about Earth-Science. Prof Dr. Aurangzeb, Dean Faculty of Physical and Numerical Sciences and Prof Dr. Saeed Islam, Focal Person Department of Geology ended up the seminar with the vote of thanks to the guests and participants.
