One Day Event on Social Work Activities

The Social Welfare Society Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) in collaboration with Entrepreneurship society (AWKUM) and Institute of Business Studies & Leadership (IBL) organized a one day event on social work activities for students on December 21, 2017 at IBL AWKUM.  The students were engaged in various activities like gardening, cleanliness etc. 

The main purpose of the event was to motivate and encourage the students and employees of the University to keep their surroundings clean and hygienic. At the occasion, Director Administration, Principal PCA, Director Quality Enhancement Cell and faculty members along with students zealously participated. 

Prof. Dr. Qadar Bakhsh Baloch (Director IBL) as a chief guest at the occasion congratulated the organizers Mr. Shiraz Feroz (Focal Person, Social Welfare Society) and Mr. Shah Hussain Awan (Focal Person, Entrepreneurship Society) for organizing a successful event for students. He further congratulated student organizers Mr. Jawad Khan (President, Social Welfare Society), Mr. Imran Khan (President, Entrepreneurship Society) and other students for participating in the event.  In order to keep environment clean and hygienic, he stressed students and faculty for regular participation in such kind of activities. He promised his full support for organizing civic engagement activities. The media coverage of the event was done by Khyber AVT channel on the request of media section AWKUM. 

A tree planting ceremony was also held in the end.
