Dr. Hussain Ali, Lecturer of Sociology, Presented a Rresearch Paper in an National Conference

Dr. Hussain Ali Lecturer Department of Sociology Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan presented a research paper in 1st National Conference on “Social Discrepancies and Their Remedies in Sociological Perspective’’ (April 10, 2018) Jointly Organized by Department of Sociology and IRD International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).

The research paper “Women’s Subordinate Position: The Determinant of Social Exclusion among Pakhtun Women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan” mainly focused to study women’s subordinate position as determinant of social exclusion from public sphere in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In the presented paper the researcher covered the women social exclusion from their social, economic and political aspects. The major findings were shared which shows the positive correlation between women subordinate position and social exclusion from access to public services (Health, Education, political participation, public sphere mobility and outdoor employment) in public sphere (CI 12.322  OR 8.013-18.948). Prof. Dr. Anwar Alam Department of Sociology , University of Peshawar chair the session and shared his views that the research area is very much important especially in Khyber-Pakhukhwa which need to be focused in future sociological researchers. At the end of conference shield was presented to presenter.
