A Three Day International Conference on “Muslim and Buddhist Sacred Art & Architecture”



A three day International Conference on “Muslim and Buddhist Sacred Art & Architecture”, a collaboration of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan and Society of Asian Civilization, kicked off in Islamabad today. Dr. Purnchai Pinyapong, President World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth Bangkok, Thailand, was the chief guest. 

While addressing the participants, Vice-Chancellor AWKUM, Prof. Dr. Insan Ali said that all religions preach peace and we need to act upon the golden principles of Islam in tackling the challenges faced to global peace.

Speaking on the occasion, several speakers stressed upon the importance of religions in reviving global peace. 

Dean Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Jehanzeb Khan Khalil, Dr. Ijaz Khalil, Director QEC, Mr. Sheraz Paracha, Director Finance, Dr. Qadir Baloch, Chairman, Department of Tourism, Mr. Asad Raza, Additional Registrar, Mr. Arsh Ur Rahman and heads of various universities attended the conference.
