MoU Signed Between AWKUM and PARC Islamabad

A ceremony for signing MoU between Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan (AWKUM) and Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) Islamabad was held on Monday the 7th of August, 2017 at PARC, Islamabad.

The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Jehanzeb Khalil Vice Chancellor AWKUM, Dr. yousaf Zafar, Chairman, PARC, Dr. Asad Ali Chairman Agriculture Department, Dr. Falak Naz Director National coordination PARC, Mr. Muhammad Tariq, Secretary, PARC, Islamabad along with other distinguished scientists and officials of the host institution.

The MOU encompasses mutual collaboration between the two institutions for research collaboration and innovation. Dr. Asad Ali Director ORIC, AWKUM delivered a brief presentation about the Vision, Mission, the academic programs and the Achievements of the university with a special focus on the Department of Agriculture, College of animal husbandry and veterinary and Biotechnology department, AWKUM. Dr. Falak Naz, Director National Coordination, PARC also gave a brief introduction about PARC. Dr. Yousaf Zafar, Chairman, PARC, in his remarks highlighted the future prospects of mutual collaboration between the two institutions and hoped that the MoU between the two organizations will serve to further enhance the quest for research and innovation at both the ends. Later on, the Vice Chancellor , AWKUM assure that AWKUM will fully support the activities to achieve the overall goals of  MoU . The ceremony was followed by a visit to the different Research Divisions and research facilities of the host institution at NARC, Islamabad.
