PhD Scholar, Mr. Mujib ur Rahman, Successfully Defended his PhD Thesis

PhD Scholar of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Mr. Mujib ur Rahman successfully defended his PhD thesis, at University of Peshawar, entitled, ‘'Role of Social Capital in Development of Handloom Clusters Communities at Peshawar Valley’’.

The topic is Socio-Networks and Development which covers the fields of economics. In his research the scholar has analyzed both relational capital and social networks impact on development of business communities in the sampled area. The significant relationship has been found between these variables. His thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naeem, HEC approved supervisor at Department of Economics, University of Peshawar. The external examiner was Dr. Abdul Qayum, Associate Professor at Comsats Institute of Science and Technology, Wahh Cant. His thesis was evaluated by two well-known Foreign Subject Experts, Prof. Dr. Nek Buzdar from California State University, Fullerton and Dr. Shabir Dastagir from University of Huddersfield, UK.

During his research, the scholar research papers have been accepted for publication in various national level recognized journals.

His PhD Open Public Defense was conducted on August 7, 2017 at Department of Department of Economics, University of Peshawar. All the Faculty members, the research scholars and the administrative staff attended on the occasion. After the successful defense of his thesis the Scholar, Mr. Mujib ur Rahman was recommended for award of PhD degree in the field of Economics.
